The ratios with a 5.13 first on a 3.73 rear end and 35's (your proposed setup) is very slightly taller than what a stock 6MT Tacoma is in first gear so it's not like you're going to be causing massive wear getting started. It feels like stock with a tiny bit extra oomph. Offroading it made a huge difference too. Its crawling up stuff and engine doesnt seem to be working nearly hard at all anymore. Would like an engine/trans upgrade (has base engine now), lift for 35's and suspension upgrade to match. I would expect y'all have done this many times. I used 4 wheel parts for the lift and suspension parts on my 2003 and they seemed to know their stuff. Thoughts appreciated.

I would at least install a 1.5 spacer lift if you’re not adding a ton of accessory weight or a full suspension 2.5 inch lift if you are. regearing 100% not needed as long as you recalibrate ur shift points using a tuner. Ideal gear ratio for 35s on Sahara is 3.77.
